Important question for distributors trying to wow customers with high-quality embroidery, but still haven’t found the “unicorn” contract decorator…

If there were a consistent, reliable way for you to send your customers notice-me embroidery on time, every time, without having to worry about embarrassingly poor-quality embroidery (that end-users hate), ruined garments or ruined relationships, would you finally feel confident selling even more decorated apparel to your existing customers?

Here’s why anything short of an enthusiastic head nod’s costing you big time.

Every day, with a credit card in hand, THOUSANDS of your most valuable potential customers search for one of the 30,000 promotional products distributors across the country with the hopes of having their most urgent marketing problems solved … with stellar campaigns that often include decorated apparel.

The question is: Are they contacting you?

Whether you’re selling a fair amount of decorated apparel or plan to scale up your sales in the near future, the success of your business rests heavily on your answer to this question.

If you know without a doubt that you’re not delivering the kind of quality embroidery you should be, because your current contract decorator doesn’t send you consistently excellent quality stitched logos … and your clients are unimpressed or disappointed with their logoed polos, then keep reading.

What we’re about to tell you could easily be the most pivotal moment you look back on a few months from now when your client roster is flush with a fresh list of on-repeat buyers who can’t get enough of your high-quality embroidered headwear and apparel, and can’t wait to punch in their credit card details to prove it.

(And, just for the record, not all embroidery is the same, so if you’re making your decision based on price, you’re making a costly mistake.)

But first…

‘What we’re about to tell you could easily be the most pivotal moment you look back on a few months from now when your client roster is flush with a fresh list of on-repeat buyers who can’t get enough of your high-quality embroidered headwear and apparel, and can’t wait to punch in their credit card details to prove it.”

We’ve reached an embroidery crisis

Your clients are asking for quality embroidered goods yesterday, and you’ve got to choose from 15,000 to 20,000 contract embroiderers (probably more shops at your disposal than ever before) to deliver what your clients expect.

Heck, a quick inventory of lots of these shops shows “satisfied” testimonials and some photos of passable embroidery work. Yet, how many deliver consistently excellent embroidery on time? (We’re talking about you getting a delighted call or email from your customer on their in-hands date, when they’re marveling over their high-quality embroidered headwear or polos. And yes, this is a regular thing for our distributor clients.)

And it’s NOT because those “other shops” are necessarily wrong or ineffective. It’s just that they’re not as hyper-focused on quality as we are at Say It In Stitches. See, if you’re a distributor competing with 30,000 other distributors, it’s not even enough to show up with ordinary embroidery.

You need EXTRAORDINARY embroidery.

Got Questions? ⏵

Let’s recap … you don’t want to be in one of these all-too-common scenarios:

• Working with an embroidery company that “doesn’t do digitizing,” so you send your art files to a cheap or overseas company that doesn’t send you back a high-quality DST file for the embroidery machine to run. Then, your embroiderer runs the sub-par file and produces sub-par embroidery that gets shipped to your client, who calls you with a list of complaints … they don’t order from you again … and they actually start leaving bad reviews everywhere they can online. (Yeah, that’s why we do all of our digitizing in-house, to ensure the artwork stitch files are up to our high standards.)

• Feeling like you’re backed into a corner because your contract company told you that “small lettering was no problem,” and you passed that message along to your client. Now, the final result is crude lettering that’s barely legible. You’re on the hook for the work, and you’re wondering why your embroiderer didn’t offer a workaround. (We’re not afraid to tell you when something won’t result in superb quality embroidery, and will give you alternate solutions to present to your clients.)

That contract embroidery shop you like to brag about is missing its most important ingredient.

Superb quality embroidery.

Meaning that contract decorator partner that was supposed to be your entry ticket to …

… retaining your clients with greater ease than you ever thought
… scaled up profits on every single decorated-apparel order
… helping your clients achieve their marketing goals, creating more impact and engineering more “holy heck, we actually did it” marketing moments.

Looking for that one-in-a-million (or at least one-in-30,000) contract shop is tough, especially if you’re in scramble mode with a new client who needs stitched hoodies now (or yesterday).

Or at least the way you’re used to doing it: Asking Google for yet another list of contract decorators, or checking Yelp to see who’s “good,” all the while asking yourself why you put off your search till the last second until that new client rang you up.

So you go into scramble mode. You dial everyone you know to see if they can recommend an amazing, on-time and affordable contract decorators who’s available immediately (aka a unicorn). You push back clients’ in-hand dates, telling them you’ve run into “unexpected blips.”

And crawl back into your entrepreneurial cave with your tail between your legs.

Get ready to reach embroidery nirvana

At Say It In Stitches, delivering superb quality embroidery is our passion. We’re trusted partners with hundreds of distributors … because our decorated apparel creates “relationship capital” between them and their clients, and in turn sparks recurring revenue and bigger profit margins.

We go to extremes to make sure every piece of embroidered apparel that leaves our factory meets our standard of “superb quality embroidery.” Our worldview and company culture don’t allow us to operate any other way.

In a highly competitive (and overcrowded market) of 15,000 to 20,000 contract embroiderers nationwide that you could hire, excellent embroidery is one of the ways we set ourselves far apart from the rest of the pack.

In fact, delivering excellent embroidery on repeat is how we’ve developed a national following of hundreds of loyal apparel distributors who trust in us and call us “a premier embroidery company.” That’s because when they send our team a job, they’ve got peace of mind knowing their customers will be delighted with the quality of the finished product. Every single time.

Imagine no more embarrassing moments with your clients (“Why is this embroidered logo puckering?” “Why is this jacket back so dense?”). No more expensive mistakes (“Wait, the logo on these 300 polos is the wrong size?!”).

If you’re familiar with commercial embroidery, it’s pretty common knowledge that solid digitizing (how we turn your artwork into a perfectly stitched design) plays a major role in top-quality sewouts. However, a very significant part of the quality embroidery equation includes a host of production-related factors. The most important of these factors is the quality, condition and management of the embroidery equipment we use. The most skillfully digitized designs can be ruined or enhanced by what happens on the production floor, and that’s what makes us unique.

Why should you care what embroidery equipment we use?

At Say It In Stitches, we use only the best Tajima embroidery equipment, considered to be the “gold standard” within the commercial embroidery industry.

Here’s how it benefits you and your clients:

Get perfectly rendered intricate designs and small lettering every time.
Our computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment allows for very precise and minuscule frame movements of fractions of a millimeter, so we can create designs with intricate details, including beautiful small letters. (If you know anything about embroidery, it’s very hard to achieve good-looking designs with small lettering.)

Endless color variations in stitches.
Our machines have either 12 or 15 needles. Translation? We can produce embroidery with a wide variety of color variations, including one of the “holy grails” of embroidery: smooth, gradient color transitions—something most embroiderers don’t even attempt (and yet, end-users love the look and feel of these designs).

Superb quality embroidery on all garments.
We have machines specifically configured for flat surfaces (like shirts, jackets and towels) and machines optimized for curved surfaces like hats, including in-demand puff embroidery (one of our areas of expertise).

Some competitor shops (we won’t name names, here) will run their embroidery machines ragged and to ruin to avoid regular maintenance. The reality is, machine parts routinely wear out, affecting the precision and crispness of the embroidery (not to mention, downtime and production delays that ultimately affect pricing).

At Say It In Stitches, we maintain a strict regimen of preventative, onsite maintenance. In addition to daily, weekly and monthly maintenance protocols, every six months we dismantle and refurbish our machines with key wearable parts. We carefully train our employees to monitor and adjust thread tensions, needle sharpness, machine speeds, and a host of other factors that have subtle—but important—impacts on embroidery quality. It’s all part of our deeply held commitment to delivering superb quality embroidery every time.
