Important consideration for distributors who think getting great customer service from a decorator is as dead as the dodo

If you could get high-quality embroidery delivered to your clients on time, do you think getting exceptional customer service on top of that is too much to ask?

Let’s take a peek into some of our distributor clients’ diaries when they were with their former contract decorators.

Let’s take a peek into some of our distributor clients’ diaries when they were with their former contract decorators. “Unanswered phone calls. Unreturned emails. Still waiting by the phone. Are they at the beach … where I should be, knowing for sure that my client’s ordering is stitching out right now?”

“An embroidered design stitched 1” inch to the left of where it was supposed to sit. Tiny, jumbled lettering that would have looked much better, just a little bigger, and in a different location. How many times do I have to get burned before I stop believing my decorator when they say it won’t happen again?”

Instead of a relationship where your decorator doesn’t return your calls in a timely manner, can’t act as subject matter expert to tell you things like tiny letters don’t stitch well, or project manage like a pro so the wrong polo doesn’t get embroidered and shipped, what if there was another, deceptively simple way?

What if simply switching to a better quality, faster and more reliable contract decorator solved all these problems?

Your contract decorator partner should be working hard for you

At Say It In Stitches, we prioritize your experience. What does that mean?

Let’s start with four key things:

  • 1. You’re not an embroidery expert, and you shouldn’t be. We have decades of experience in decoration and can give you upfront advice on whether a logo or design will stitch out well, before we even start digitizing.

  • 2. You shouldn’t have to worry about project-managing your order. That’s our job. However, we do tell you when we need you to do certain things. That way, we keep error rates low, and quality embroidery and on-time completion high. And if there are tweaks we need to make because of the fabric or last-minute changes from your client, there’s a great chance we can accommodate those. And of course, we review your order several times, so you should never expect mistakes during production.

  • 3. You shouldn’t need different embroiderers to handle different jobs. Through our wide distributor customer base, we serve many vertical markets you also serve. That means we can wow virtually all of your clients: healthcare (scrubs), general corporate market (corporate apparel and uniforms), restaurants (aprons, hats and shirts), sports (various garments and accessories), schools (children’s uniforms and graduation sashes), and so on.

  • 4. You shouldn’t lay awake at night, worrying about your reputation. You can call us anytime and speak to someone who can answer any and all questions about your order, so you know your client will be thrilled with the results.

Here’s why you won’t be able to get enough of our ‘tailored’ customer service

You probably already know that delivering best-in-class, top-quality embroidery quickly and on time is the essence of our brand here at Say It In Stitches. But it isn’t not enough to successfully serve and support our clientele of embroidered apparel distributors.

That’s why we set ourselves apart with tailored customer service.

If you think contract embroidery is a commoditized service, think again. Every one of your clients’ orders are different and unique, from the embroidered design itself, to the production requirements, or the way the order is packaged and delivered.

Here are some ways our tailored customer service approach makes you look good to your clients:

Diligent design and digitizing: Your client wants their logo on polos … but probably needs variations of the design based on different garment types (like men’s or ladies’ styles), materials (like fleece, Terry, velour, pique knit, elastic or performance materials), or shapes (like hats and visors vs. flat surfaces).

Your client might not know (or care) that we may need to create different versions of the design file to fit specific production conditions and achieve the best possible stitched results. Frankly, even many embroiderers may not even understand, much less attempt, to achieve this kind of customization in digitizing.

And you know what happens? Have you ever received a hat with embroidery that exhibits poor outline registration? Or a shirt made of expensive, but elastic, performance material where the embroidery “puckered” that destroyed the product’s overall look and feel?

However, for us, creating ideal digitized files for every part of an order is an inextricable part of our quality ethic—whether the client requests it or not. Simply doing this helps avoid embroidery disasters so your distributorship always looks like a shining star.

We make these adjustments by request or as needed on the fly because it’s just the right thing to do. Unlike some of our competitors, we don’t blame the shirt material or expect our clients to be embroidery experts.

Perfect production: While we do have a proven production workflow, we pivot as needed to accommodate special needs. For example, if you have slightly different designs for different client locations or wish to use different thread color sequences for different shirts, we can take care of it.

Embroidering on fleece or Terry material? We’ll use Solvy and other specialized materials to get the most out of the digitized file and to directly address end-user requirements.

Shirts with sheer white material? We’ll automatically use polymesh or no-show stabilizer so your clients can’t see the backing (the so-called “patch”) through the shirt.

Tiny letters? We’ll use thin-diameter needles and thread to achieve the best stitched result from the embroidery file. Exacting packaging and shipment: This is also part of our tailored customer service.

Spoiler alert: The answer to every question on this list is a resounding yes:

  • Need polybagging with individual name labels or hang-tags?
  • Need to sort and split-ship the order to multiple locations?
  • Need custom packaging and branded inserts into each box?
  • Need help creating a fulfillment program where we ship small quantities hh to specific locations from an in-house inventory of finished goods?
